Todd Davis brings a broad background of business, education and market experience to Online Trading Academy. After earning a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration he joined a global software education company, where he served for several years in various roles ranging from instructor to
director of government programs. It was here he found his passion for education.
Todd started trading actively with a close friend as the millenium bubble started to burst and, like many people, struggled to succeed using
conventional techniques such as value investing, evaluating company fundamentals, and using so-called expert opinions found in newsletters, all the while
watching investments languish for years. It was not long before he decided to take action and actually learn how to trade properly. Through a referral from
a friend he found Online Trading Academy and began the journey of becoming a professional trader. Having actively traded and consulted for nearly a decade
in equities and foreign currency for both himself and other professional traders, Todd maintains that the key to success is strict adherence to a proven
trading methodology, defined rules, tight risk management, and a positive approach regardless of account size, experience or the asset class one trades.
Today he is a skilled momentum trader, swing trader and passionate trading coach for Online Trading Academy.
In 2006, he was one of the founding members of Online Trading Academy of Los Angeles, where he continues to work with students, staff, and fellow
instructors to help ensure every student receives a world-class learning experience. Todd is a certified Online Trading Academy instructor in both Equities
and Forex and routinely ranks among the top instructors worldwide in student surveys. His teaching style creates one of the most dynamic and interactive
classroom experiences students will encounter at Online Trading Academy.
Todd is a student of the science of trading. Having been mentored himself by a group of outstanding traders, he believes that a trader’s fastest path to
consistent profitability is to keep trading simple and scientific where supply, demand, trend, and participation are the most critical elements of properly
recognizing opportunity and risk.
Of particular interest to his students is the way he synthesizes the Professional Trader series curriculum into a simple to understand Trade Plan
Framework which is aimed to help any student regardless of their trading style, time horizon, asset class, or share size. Some specific Technical Analysis skills
students enjoy learning from Todd include the proper definition of trend and proper use of trend in decision making, finding high probability momentum
opportunities using Depth of Market quotes and Time & Sales prints, Natural Numerics, identifying supply and demand levels as points of origin and, above
all, how Fibonacci can be used as a simple mathematical forecasting model for defining ranges, high probability price targets, and risk levels as price
moves from its origin and basis of opportunity to future destinations. To say the least, a day of class with Todd Davis is truly a trading and learning
